Sultan lokumu is the soft one. Where classic Turkish delight is firm and dusted with powdered sugar or starch, the sultan style is made looser and more tender, then rolled in shredded coconut so the pieces never stick together. Each cube here is finished with a pinch of ground Antep pistachio on top — coconut outside, melting lokum inside, a light pistachio note to close.
This is the version Turkish confectioners cut fresh by the kilo rather than box up for long shelf storage. The texture is the whole point: it gives under a spoon, dissolves rather than chews, and the coconut keeps each piece dry to the touch. In Turkey it is served beside black tea or Turkish coffee, where one cube is the standard portion — the sweetness is full but the coconut takes the edge off.
In Arabic-speaking countries this family of sweets is known as halkoum (حلقوم) or rahat al-halkoum, the same confection the English-speaking world calls Turkish delight. The sultan style sits between plain lokum and the nut-filled rolls: softer than the first, simpler than the second.
Sold by weight: 250 g for a first taste, 500 g and 1 kg for the household tin, and a 3 kg bulk option for gatherings, dessert tables, or anyone who has already decided. Pieces arrive cut and coconut-rolled, ready to plate. Store cool and dry, away from direct sun; the coconut coating does its job best at room temperature.
Contains pistachio and coconut. Produced in Turkey.
