A Hafiz Mustafa mixed Turkish delight tin brings six kinds of lokum together in one red gift box. Lift the lid past the founder's portrait and you find rows of soft, gently chewy delight: whole pistachios pressed into green pieces, walnut-rolled fruit fitil, a pale kaymak-cream row, and ruby pomegranate squares dusted to keep them from sticking. It is the assortment Istanbul gift shops are known for, packed for the table rather than a single flavor.
Hafiz Mustafa has been making sweets since 1864, when Hadji Ismail Hakki Bey opened the shop in Bahcekapi, central Istanbul, near the spice market. The house later took the name of his son, Hafiz Mustafa, and the 1864 mark and his oval portrait still sit on every tin. That heritage is the reason this is a name people search for by brand, not just by flavor.
What is inside the 350g tin (average net weight about 340–350g): a mix of roughly six varieties, typically pistachio, hazelnut and walnut lokum alongside fruit notes such as pomegranate, orange, coconut and honey. Ingredients are sugar, corn starch and water, set the traditional way; nuts are visible and named on the label. The pieces are cut small, which is part of why a mixed tin works so well for sharing with coffee or Turkish tea, or as a hostess gift that does not need wrapping.
Three sizes are stocked: 350g, 570g and 1000g. The 350g tin suits a thank-you or a first try; the 570g and 1kg tins are the ones to send for a holiday table, a new home, or any spread where a single box has to go around a crowd. Keep lokum in a cool, dry spot away from sun; it firms up in the cold and softens in heat, and a couple of hours at room temperature before serving brings back the texture.
Allergen note: contains pistachio, hazelnut and walnut. Made in Turkey by Hafiz Mustafa 1864.
