Turkish dried figs grown in the Aydın region — the heart of Turkey's Aegean fig country, where roughly four out of every five Turkish figs are produced. These are whole figs, sun-dried the traditional way and sealed in a vacuum pack to keep them soft, plump, and naturally sweet from the day they leave the orchard to the day you open them.
The Aydın region, set along the Büyük and Küçük Menderes river valleys, is widely regarded as one of the best places on earth to grow figs. The warm Aegean climate and mineral-rich valley soil give the fruit its deep amber colour, honeyed flavour, and tender, chewy bite. No artificial sweeteners are added — the sweetness is the fig's own, concentrated naturally as the fruit dries in the sun.
Each fig has a soft, jammy centre dotted with the tiny seeds that give dried figs their gentle crunch. They are a simple, satisfying snack on their own, and just as good chopped into morning porridge or yoghurt, baked into cakes and breads, simmered into compotes, or served on a cheese board alongside walnuts and honey. Figs are also a natural source of dietary fibre.
Packed by Tuğba Kuruyemiş and available in two sizes — a 500 g pack and a 1000 g pack — both vacuum-sealed for freshness and easy storage. Keep the pack in a cool, dry place, and once opened, reseal or transfer to an airtight container.
