These are Çukulat dried figs from Turkey's Aydın region, packed into a large collectible metal gift tin with every fig individually wrapped in gold foil by hand. "Çukulat" is the Turkish trade name for this style: the stem and the eye of each first-grade fig are trimmed away, then the fig is rolled and wrapped one piece at a time — the most finished, gift-ready presentation in the dried-fig range.
Inside the square tin you'll find roughly forty whole figs arranged in a neat grid, each in its own gold wrapper carrying the Incir Evi seal. The figs are soft and dense with the deep, honey-like sweetness Aydın is known for, and the variety's naturally thin skin. Nothing is added — these are simply dried figs, prepared and wrapped by hand.
The tin itself is built to be kept and re-used. The 800 g and 1 kg sizes come in a square metal box about 215 mm on each side, the kind of presentation that works as a hosting tray, a holiday or thank-you gift, or a centerpiece on a dessert or cheese board. Unwrap a few alongside aged cheese and walnuts, chop them into yogurt or oatmeal, or serve them on their own with coffee or tea.
Sizes: 800 g and 1 kg — this is the larger, gift-tier presentation, distinct from the smaller 500 g boxes.
Storage: keep the tin in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Once opened, the figs are best enjoyed within about a week; for longer keeping, store them in the refrigerator.
Quality: the figs are produced in Turkish facilities working to ISO 9001:2015 quality, ISO 22000 food-safety and BRC standards, approved by the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, with aflatoxin and required food testing. We deliver to your door from our own stock.
