A simple raw mixed nuts blend of four whole tree nuts: cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, and walnut halves. Every nut is raw and unroasted, with nothing salted, oiled, sweetened, or added. It is just the nuts, in their natural state, the way they come before any kitchen does anything to them.

Because nothing has been roasted or salted in advance, this mix is the blank starting point a lot of cooks actually want. Roasted, salted nuts arrive pre-seasoned and already cooked in oil; raw nuts leave every one of those choices to you. You decide whether to toast them, how dark, with or without salt, and what they end up tasting like.

What is in the mix

  • Cashews — soft, buttery, mild
  • Almonds — firm and clean-tasting, skins on
  • Hazelnuts — whole, round, deeply aromatic when warmed
  • Walnuts — halves, rich and slightly bitter at the edge

Ways people use raw nuts

  • Snacking as-is — eat them plain and unsalted, on their own or in a homemade trail mix with dried fruit.
  • Home roasting — spread on a tray and roast in a low-to-medium oven until fragrant, so you control the colour, the salt, and the oil (if any). Many cooks prefer this because raw nuts add no extra salt or unknown oils to the finished result.
  • Baking and cooking — chop into cakes, cookies, granola, baklava and pastries, or grind for nut butters, bases and crusts. Raw nuts are the standard choice for baking because they carry no pre-added salt or oil into the recipe.
  • Soaking (activating) — some cooks soak nuts in water for a few hours before use to soften them; almonds and hazelnuts take longer, cashews and walnuts much less. This is a texture-and-prep step, not a medical one.
