Finger Turkish delight — parmak lokum — is the long-cut style of lokum: a soft, slow-set starch and honey paste rolled around a line of whole pistachios, then sliced into finger-length pieces. This one is made in Istanbul the traditional way, with spring water, honey, and sugar, and scented with damla sakızı, the pine-and-citrus mastic resin that flavored some of the earliest lokum recipes centuries before fruit essences existed.
The producer states it works without glucose syrup, the shortcut most mass-market Turkish delight relies on. Honey in the base gives these fingers a deeper amber color and a rounder sweetness than plain sugar lokum, while the mastic adds a clean, slightly resinous finish that keeps the sweetness from feeling flat. Inside each piece, whole green pistachios run end to end — you get nuts in every bite, not scattered fragments.
What's in it: spring water, sugar, honey, wheat starch, corn starch, citric acid, natural color, pistachios, mastic (damla sakızı).
- Texture: dense and chewy with a gentle bite, firmer than cube lokum
- Flavor: honey-forward, nutty, with a cool mastic aftertaste
- Serve with Turkish coffee or black tea; slice thinner for a dessert tray
- Store sealed at room temperature, away from heat and humidity
Allergens: contains pistachios (tree nuts) and wheat starch (gluten). Not suitable for nut or gluten allergies.
Available in 250 g, 500 g, and 1 kg. The powdered coating stays intact, so the pieces arrive separate, not fused.
