The pistachios come from the Gaziantep (Antep) region of southeastern Turkey, the historic heart of Turkish pistachio growing. Antep pistachio (antep fistigi) is a named, registered Turkish agricultural product, prized for its deep green color and dense, aromatic flavor. Pressed whole into the soft sugar-and-starch lokum and finished with a dusting of desiccated coconut instead of powdered sugar, each piece gives you the chew of real Turkish delight and the snap of whole nuts together.
