Bolci has been making chocolate in Bolu, Turkey since 1992, and these mushroom dragees are one of the playful pieces the brand is known for. Each one is a small mushroom moulded from milk chocolate (minimum 30% cocoa solids), filled with almond gianduja — a smooth paste of ground almonds and chocolate — and finished with a thin, crisp sugar shell in pastel blue, pink, yellow, orange, and white.
The colors are not the usual synthetic candy dyes. Bolci's ingredient list uses hibiscus extract and natural-origin colorants — anthocyanins, carotenes, chlorophylls, annatto — which is why the caps look soft and pastel rather than neon. Bite through the shell and you get three textures in one piece: the crack of the sugar coating, the snap of milk chocolate, and the almond gianduja center.
Two sizes:
- 270 g gift box — 16 mushroom dragees arranged in a tray inside an open-window box with the Bolci logo, a printed mushroom illustration, and an organza ribbon. Ready to give as it is — for a birthday, a new baby, Eid, a hostess gift, or a desk treat that makes people smile before they taste it.
- 158 g pack — the same dragees in a smaller everyday format, the one to keep for yourself.
Like all Bolci chocolate, this product is made without alcohol and without pork fat or its derivatives, as stated on the producer's own product pages. Contains almonds and milk; made in a facility that also handles other tree nuts, sesame, soy, egg, peanut, and gluten.
Bolci's chocolate reaches 43 countries, but most of its range never leaves Turkey's own shops. BTurkish packs it in protective packaging. Store at 18–22°C, away from sunlight and humidity — and don't refrigerate; chocolate keeps its shine better in a cool cupboard than a cold fridge.
