This Iznik Motif Ceramic Bowl Set is a six-piece collection of small hand-glazed ceramic bowls, each measuring 8 cm in diameter, painted with traditional Ottoman Iznik floral motifs. Each bowl is made in Turkey using the çini ceramic technique that has been practised in the Iznik region of Bursa province since the 15th century, when Iznik became the principal centre of Ottoman tile and ceramic production for the imperial workshops in Istanbul.
Each bowl is hand-finished with a coloured base glaze and a contrasting white interior panel painted with floral arabesques in the Iznik palette — typically including stylised tulips, carnations, and rumi scrollwork. The set is supplied as six bowls in assorted colours selected from a palette of green, yellow, red, navy, sage, white, black, orange, purple, and turquoise; the specific colour combination of each set may vary. The ceramic body is fired stoneware coated in a food-safe glaze.
The bowls are sized for serving small portions: jam, honey, olives, cheese, dips, sauces, nuts, or spices at the breakfast table, mezze service, or coffee setting. Hand wash with mild detergent and soft sponge; avoid abrasive scrubbers. Not recommended for microwave or dishwasher.
