Description

Bitter apple (Sage) is the leaves of the Salvia officinalis L. (Labiatae) species that are collected at the time of flowering and dried in the shade. It is a perennial and bushy plant with purplish blue flowers, simple leaves, 50-100 cm tall, found wild in Central Europe and Western Balkans. ????

It contains tannin, (1-2.5%) essential oil and bitter substance. S.Fruticase is obtained from the leafy and flowering branches of the Miller species by steam distillation. It is recommended to use externally by mixing with Jojoba oil or olive oil. ????

It is found wild in Central Europe and the Western Balkans. Turkey’s rarelyGrown in the garden. External appearance: 3-8 cm long and 1-4 cm wide, slightly toothed on the edges, densely hairy on both sides and silvery-colored simple leaves. ????
